Have you heard of the KPop band KARD yet? Apparently, they’re huge in North America, but are also making waves here in Asia.
I was lucky enough to catch them in Malaysia recently at the ASICS GEL-BND regional launch event at Sunway Pyramid.
In their roles as ASICS’ regional ambassador, KARD delivered an electrifying performance on the atrium stage for their fans in Malaysia, as well as those who joined them from around the region – including yours truly! 😀
As a celebration of the comeback of the GEL-BND shoes and KARD as the face of ASICS, the event saw a massive turnout of more than 300 guests taking over the shopping complex.
The place was packed with KARD fans hoping to get a glimpse of their idols.
KARD is one of the few Korean pop bands out there that comprises of both male and female members. Here they are:
BM has serious Archie Andrews vibes. Plus, he speaks English fluently, to the delight of all of his international fans.
Jeon Ji-woo is like a Korean Ashley Tisdale. I don’t know how to explain it better, but I am absolutely in love with her fierce IDGAF vibe.
Jeon So-min is just like your usual hot Korean pop star, she exudes confidence in everything that she does.
Bringing them all together is J.Seph, who perfectly completes the group with his good looks and killer dancing skills.

At the event, we got to witness just how awesome this band is with their undeniable chemistry, catchy tunes, and smoking hot dance moves.
The quartet brought the roof down when they took the stage to perform some of their best hits, including ‘Oh Na Na’, ‘Don’t Recall’, ‘Bomb Bomb’, and their latest digital single ‘Dumb Litty’ – bringing the event and the crowd’s energy to their peak.
Of course, they all donned their favorite ASICS shoes and told us how much they love the comfort that they give and how balling their colorways are – there’s definitely something for everyone.
First introduced in April in limited quantities, ASICS now brings back the shoe silhousette in seven new colorways, totaling 11 colorways for the relaunch of GEL-BND. The sneakers are available at all ASICS stores and slected retailers.
Hopefully, ASICS will bring KARD to Manila sometime soon, as well? Fingers crossed!
