Kanye West has been known to make strange and shocking declarations on Twitter, so you can imagine just how his latest tweet earned no shock but, rather, the usual skepticism and eyebrow raise.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he wrote on July 4, the US Independence Day.
Then, he announced, “I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION.”
While it didn’t seem like a great idea to many netizens, billionaire Elon Musk quickly rallied behind the singer by saying, “You have my full support!” This doesn’t come as a surprise, knowing how close the two have become as seen in Kanye’s latest photo with the Tesla Founder.

Of course, no one can really be sure if Kanye is serious with his plans for a 2020 campaign, although he has been talking about it in previous interviews.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
