K-Drama “The Good Doctor” Will Get a US Remake and the Trailer is Here!

Two months ago, we reported that K-drama The Good Doctor will be getting a US remake. And if you were a fan of the show, we have great news: the trailer is out now, and it looks promising!

Watch the trailer of The Good Doctor below:

The Good Doctor is a medical series that will be a remake of a South Korean medical drama that first aired in 2013. The Hollywood remake will be produced by Hawaii Five-0 actor Daniel Dae Kim and House creator David Shore. This series will air in 2017.

Bates Motel star Freddie Highmore will play the lead role of Dr. Shaun Murphy, a doctor with Asperger Syndrome. They will also be joined by Grey’s Anatomy‘s Irene Keng, CSI: New York‘s Hill Harper, Nicholas Gonzalez, Antonia Thomas, and Chuku Mudu.

Rumor has it that Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Ye are joining the series, but they were not included in the trailer.

The inclusion of Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Ye is a great move. Even if they did not star in the original K-drama, a survey conducted by the Korea Creative Content Agency showed that the two stars are the most popular Korean celebrities in the US. Their series The Heirs was also a hit in the US.
