Jurassic World Will Be a Trilogy, Director Confirms

Love dinosaurs? Did you love the Jurassic World movie? Well, get ready for MORE Jurassic awesomeness! After the success of Jurassic World by director Colin Treverrow, there have been speculations Jurassic World will be a trilogy.

That has now been confirmed, which means more dinosaur goodness for us! 😀

Jurassic World 2 director J.A. Bayona stated that his contribution to the franchise will indeed be the second installment to the trilogy. No plot details have surfaced yet, however. But it is for certain that Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will reprise their roles in the sequel.

Jurassic World 2 is set to release by June 2018, less than two years after the first film came out. Here is what we know so far about Jurassic World 2:

  • Chris Pratt will reprise his role as Owen Grady! Yes, Starlord training raptors is something most of us would agree is one of the best things in Jurassic World. I do hope they step it up a notch in the sequel, though. Train a T-Rex maybe? Probably not, but he is coming back, so YES!

  • Bryce Dallas Howard bids farewell to her heels! It was something else that Bryce Dallas Howard’s character Claire could outrun a T-Rex in HEELS! But yes, glad to have Bryce play Claire again in the sequel.

Universal will surely be dropping more details about the film for all you dinogeeks out there, and we’ll keep you posted! Jurassic World 2 is set to come out summer of 2018.

Are you excited for this sequel? What’s your favorite dinosaur or monster movie?
