Julia Montes and Nadine Lustre’s Teleserye is Officially Canceled

Sad news for fans of Julia Montes and Nadine Lustre: their much-awaited action-packed teleserye, Burado, is officially canceled.

Dreamscape Entertainment confirmed this to ABS-CBN Network, citing public health concerns and travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The production company’s inability to fly in lead Thai actor, Denkhun Ngamnet, from his home country to the Philippines was also said to be among the primary reasons behind its cancellation.

Burado was set to be one of Julia’s comeback teleseryes after having gone on hiatus from the showbiz limelight, and her first project with Nadine. It was going to be shot in several countries apart from the Philippines, namely Cambodia, India, and Thailand. Sadly, this is no longer going to be possible.

It was back in June when rumors started circulating that the two lead actresses were “backing out” of the series which was also going to star Zanjoe Marudo and Paulo Avelino. Other cast members included Carmi Martin, Angel Aquino, Joko Diaz, Ina Raymundo, Lotlot de Leon, Matet de Leon, Raymond Bagatsing, Mccoy de Leon, Javi Benitez, and Kokoy de Santos.

Here’s to hoping that Julia and Nadine will get an opportunity to join forces again in a future project!
