Major win for Taylor Swift!
If you recall, former DJ and morning radio host David Mueller sued the “1989” singer for $3 million after he lost his job following accusations that he inappropriately touched Taylor’s backside during a photo op at a 2013 concert in Denver. Taylor, meanwhile, countersued for sexual assault for just $1.
In the midst of a high-profile trial, a judge has just thrown out the lawsuit by David Mueller, ruling that the ex-host had no proof that Taylor deliberately set out to get him fired.
As Taylor testified in court last week, she did not back down from her statements, saying:
“He had a handful of my ass. I know it was him. I thought what he did was despicable.”
When asked by Mueller’s counsel how she felt about the DJ losing his job, Taylor said that she had no opinion, as she did not know him personally.
The pop star added:
“I am not going to allow your my client to make me feel like it is any way my fault because it isn’t.”
