Juan Karlos Labajo just announced to friends and followers that he will be taking an indefinite break from social media.
In Instagram, he posted a photo of himself with the following caption: “Matagal akong mawawala. Salamat. Ingat. Hanggang sa muli. Paalam. (I will be gone for a long time. Thank you. Take care. ‘Till we meet again. Goodbye.)”
He did not elaborate on why he decided to do so and how long he will be gone.

After posting, Labajo then uploaded a blacked-out image as his new profile picture across his social media accounts. He also archived all his previous posts on Instagram.
This surprise announcement comes just a month after his band had signed on with Island Records Philippines, a local subsidiary of one of the world’s most influential record companies. It’s unclear if Labajo’s hiatus will affect any near-future plans made with regards to his music.
