Gal Gadot has just recently confirmed that Joss Whedon did indeed threaten her career during the filming of the reshoots of the 2017 “Justice League” movie.
“What I had with Joss basically is that he kind of threatened my career and said if I did something he would make my career miserable,” Gadot said in an interview with Israeli journalist Yuna Leibzon.
Gadot has continued to accuse Joss Whedon of abusive behavior directed towards her onset and of threatening to make her career miserable if she does not do what he asks. And most of the time, what he asks is absurd and unprofessional like telling her to just be pretty and say her lines.
Whedon has had a bad history with the women he directs over the course of his career. Another actress, Charisma Carpenter who starred in the TV show “Angel” in 1999, which was also directed by Whedon, recently spoke out to accuse him of toxic behavior. How he fat-shamed her when she was pregnant and treated her badly still traumatizes her 20 years later.
All these Whedon allegations are coming out now thanks to fans seeing the release of the “Snyder’s Justice League.” Ray Fischer, who played Cyborg in the film, was the first one to call out Whedon’s toxicity as he criticized him for being racist for allegedly decreasing the screen time of black characters in the 2017 version.
Whedon has yet to respond to all the allegations.
