Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto Have Different Views on Closure

Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto broke up a while ago, but claimed that they were still ‘best friends’ after their split. Earlier this month, though, JoshLia fans pointed out that Julia had deleted all traces of Joshua on her Instagram account after Joshua shared a photo with Janella Salvador.

Both actors have been on ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda’ recently and both have been asked about relationships and ending them. When Julia was on the show, she shared that she thinks not having closure after a relationship is already closure. “Why are we going to have closure and tell each other what went wrong? Just ride the tide,” she said.

Joshua seems to have a different take on it, though, pointing out the importance of closure for two people who shared something special once upon a time.

[It’s important for a relationship to have closure because that’s when both of you will understand that things have ended. You need to have a clear conversation so that you won’t blame each other when the time comes. When friends tease you after the breakup, for example, they might joke that the relationship ended because of you. You need to know that no one was at fault. It’s rude to your significant other if you don’t give them closure. After all, you loved them once, right?]

When it comes to closure in relationships who do you agree with: Julia or Joshua?
