Jolina Magdangal Shares Experience Getting Scammed By Cactus Seller Online

With many of us becoming plant parents over the course of the quarantine, we have to be more vigilant of scammers who might take advantage of our new fixations. In fact, even actress and television host Jolina Magdangal wasn’t spared from this unfortunate circumstance and took to her Instagram page to share her story.

“Isa sa wish list ko na mga cactus at ngayon ay granted na,” she began on her post where she shared a photo of herself holding a Golden Barrel cactus which she got from an online store.

She said that because of the price and that she had a good experience talking to the seller, she paid for three Golden Barrel cacti and seven other kinds. Sadly, the seller completely ghosted her after her payment.

Wala na,” she said. Her husband, Mark, even tried contacting the seller too and was able to contact them, but as soon as he made a follow-up of Jolina’s order, the seller stopped replying and could no longer be searched on Facebook.

“SCAM. First time nangyari sakin. Ganito pala feeling,” Jolina continued. Ingat tayong lahat.”

Let’s be more vigilant, fellow plant titos and titas!
