Join the Free the Sea Movement with this Plastic-Free Music & Arts Festival in Baler

‘Tis the “sea-sun” as REEF Philippines sets the sea free again! For the fourth time in a row, they are back with the advocating campaign “Free the Sea Movement” — a beach cleanup party happening on October 11-12, 2019 at Nalu Surf Camp and Alley 2, Baler, Aurora.

Trash has created a huge impact on our oceans, and it’s our turn to give back to Mother Nature. After all, we can’t #BeachFreely if there are no clean beaches! REEF Philippines invites you to a two-day event and a sea of fun and excitement!

Beach cleanup volunteers can look forward to two days of activities filled with becoming one with the sea. REEF will be bringing artists, surfers, and sea experts for the total beach experience while imparting a sense of responsibility to tourists and travellers of the importance of preserving nature. For this year’s Free the Sea Movement, they are living up to their lifetime mission to save the nature by conducting beach clean-ups facilitated by WWF Philippines, environmental talks from the Ocean Care Movements, and surfing clinics from our guest surfers. All these are for the restoration and preservation of Sabang Beach in Baler, so both locals and tourists are further educated in taking their share in saving the seas.

This annual beach event is Reef’s extension of support through donating to the environmental efforts of WWF – Philippines and Ocean Care Movement Baler.

Speaking of total beach feels, you can count on great music for this year’s FTSM, too! REEF has gathered our favorite local artists in their plastic-free music festival.

A few days of being one with nature by the beach may sound short, but it’s surely going to be an adventure-packed weekend setting the sea free and to #BeachFreely. Before you bring out those bikinis or board shorts, make sure to save a pocket or two in your travel bag for your own tumblers and utensils, as we won’t allow any single-use plastic during the event. Bye, bye, plastics!
