Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’re probably already familiar with Fil-Am comedian Jo Koy, who arrived in Manila for a series of shows in the Philippines this week. He also got a star on the Eastwood Walk of Fame yesterday.

After his star was revealed, it was also announced that Jo Koy had donated two million pesos for Mowelfund, or the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation, Inc. Mowelfund is a non-profit social welfare, educational, and industry development foundation that aims to serve marginalized workers in the Philippine movie industry.

Jo Koy shares that his target for Mowelfund was one million pesos.

Add to that the $30,000 they had from Jo Koy Entertainment and that became 1.5 million pesos. Another ,000 was added from Arsonhouse and another ,000 from CAA.

This is just one of the reasons why we love him! Have you been able to catch any of his shows here in the Philippines?
