In the past, famous people were unreachable and we only saw them on TV and in print. Things have changed after social media, where they can now be reached on platforms like Twitter and Instagram.

The Harry Potter series author J.K. Rowling is one of those people who use social media to connect with her fans. And when one of them tweeted about her sadness, it only took Rowling eight minutes to respond.

User @mtrssmustdie tweeted Rowling: “@jk_rowling could you please teach me how to scare the dementors that have been living under my bed? I’m tired of being sad all the time.”

It’s not clear what @mtrssmustdie is going through, but her other tweets reveal that she is facing issues with her friends and family.

This was then met with a deluge of other tweets encouraging @mtrssmustdie to fight her dementors.

In Harry Potter, dementors are guards of the Azkaban prison, and feed on human happiness. They are known for their kiss, which will suck every good feeling and happy memory, leaving the victim with only his worst experiences.
