Hey fur parents! Thinking about where to get your babies dog / cat tags?
There are a lot of benefits to getting your dog or cat a pet tag. Aside from it being another way to accessorize your pet in an adorable fashion, it helps to place an identifier on them to keep them safe and secure!
My baby Murphy knows how to work it for the camera!
Our lovable fur babies, especially when kept indoors, can get very playful and curious about the world outside your home’s gates — so when they do get out by accident, it’s best to be prepared! Having a collar and pet tag on your animal companion says that the dog has a HOME. This is especially true for neighborhoods that have a pound for stray pets. Moreso, kindhearted passersby who chance upon your pet who has lost its way can help bring your pet back to you!
Jigs and Clay’s Pet Tag World are run by truly passionate animal lovers who understand the needs of pet parents! Jigs and Clay’s Pet Tag World offer cat and dog tags that are truly durable and safe for your pets of all sizes, and come in adorable and classic designs.
The tags designed and created (by hand!) by Jigs and Clay’s Pet Tag World are the ONLY TAGS in the country that are made out of stainless steel and brass. These materials make sure that even bigger breeds don’t bend or break the tag, as they are that strong! The details such as the Name and Contact Details are also etched or engraved, so they do not fade over time. What I also really like about the tags as there is no dye or color on them, which our furry friends are prone to scratching, scraping, or even gnawing on over time. I’m a fan of classic brass or steel designs a la Scooby Doo, so this definitely works!
I definitely love the quality craftsmanship that goes into creating each dog or cat tag. While the metals are shipped from Germany, each process that goes into making these tags, from the cutting to the shaping and engraving, is done here, making this an all-Filipino handmade product. The tags are really durable pieces that stand the test of time — Jigs and Clay’s Pet Tag World even makes their own bails where the pet tags hang, and these are riveted into the tags to make sure they don’t fall of, even on the friskiest of pets! These rings are also made out of stainless steel, which are rust-proof.
Each design is customizable, where you can choose the features to your heart’s content to suit the personality and needs of your dog or cat. Choose from brass, stainless steel, or a combination of both, then pick a size: Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large. (If you’re unsure, they will be more than happy to help you choose based on your dog / cat’s breed and needs!)
Reese: my playful, large labrador/golden retriever mix who loves treats!
Chopper: My sweet, friendly labrador/golden retriever mix!
I have three dogs: Chopper and Reese are both Labrador/Golden Retriever mix puppies, while Murphy is an 8-month-old Shar Pei/Spaniel mix. Murphy has a generally small-medium build, slightly shorter than a Beagle but definitely larger than toy breeds, so I picked a medium-sized brass tag to complement his white coat.
Reese’s all steel tag: The owner’s name and details at the back are engraved, which WON’T fade!
Chopper and Reese were about 3 months old when I got their tags. Although they were puppies, I knew that they would outgrow them eventually but at the same time, I didn’t want to cause them discomfort by getting them a large dog tag immediately so Jaye of Jigs and Clay’s Pet Tag World suggested I get a medium size for both. Looking back, these two are growing so quickly that by the time they’d reach a year of age they would have outgrown their tags! Oh well, that would be time to get new ones I guess.
As Reese has a chocolate brown coat, I wanted the tag to contrast from her fur — I felt that the brass would have blended in with her coat, so I stuck with an all-steel design for her. Chopper, on the other hand, has a light, cream-colored coat, so I thought that a combination of steel and brass was the way to go for him.
Chopper’s steel/brass pet tag at the back, with owner’s name and contact information!
Jigs and Clay’s Pet Tag World was so nice enough to throw in their new steel and brass combination design — the brass is brighter than their existing offering, which allows the design and the name to really stand out. I’m a fan!
