Blackpink’s Jennie Issues Apology for Vaping Indoors

Blackpink’s Jennie has apologized after a video of her vaping indoors with her glam team around her doing her hair and makeup went viral.

On X, her own label, Odd Atelier (OA) Entertainment, issued a statement concerning the controversy.

“We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie’s actions in the content released on the 2nd,” it read.

The label stressed that Jennie acknowledges and deeply regrets her action, “Jennie acknowledges and deeply regrets her mistake of vaping indoors and causing inconvenience to the staff.”

OA Entertainment said the K-pop star has also personally apologized to all the staff.

“Jennie has personally apologized to all the staff on-site who may have been affected. We apologize to her fans who have been disappointed through this incident. We hope to prevent this from reoccurring in the future.”

On July 2, a video was uploaded to her YouTube channel, where a clip showed that she was vaping indoors while getting her makeup done, which gained numerous reactions from netizens. The video has been taken down since then.
