Jehza recently ties a knot with PBA player, PJ Simon making her the first ever married reigning queen in the Binibining Pilipinas history! How did it happen? Basically, before Huelar submitted herself one last time for a possible title run, she is already set to marry Simon.

Last year, Huelar was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas – Supranational 2018. With all the preparations for the upcoming Miss Supranational pageant in Poland, she was already discreetly preparing for her own wedding.
Jehza and Simon agreed to set their wedding day after the pageant. So, when Binibining Pilipinas initially set the Coronation Night on May 26, the couple scheduled their wedding to May 28 — to avoid any rescinding contractual obligations and of course to not ruin her relationship with the organization.
Everything is all set now, right? Well… Not really… Because the Binibining Pilipinas Charities decided to move the 2019 day of reckoning to June 9! Given the fact that all invitations and reservations for the wedding are all set and good to go, Jehza and PJ still decided to push through with their holy matrimony.

That being said, the unexpected change of plans made Mrs. Jehza Huelar-Simon the only married reigning queen. Despite the fact that it’s technically a violation in the contract, the Aranetas likely gave Huelar their blessings allowing the queen to retain her title and her crown intact.
As the saying goes, “If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal.” Guess this was Jehza and PJ’s inspo for their wedding.
