Jay R confirmed the loss of his father, Gaudencio “Jun” Sillona, Jr., at the age of 92. He shared the news on Instagram with the caption, “Love you dad. See you again on the other side.”

In a separate Instagram post, he uploaded a video of himself performing his upcoming single Blessed, where he paid tribute to his father.
“We just wanna dedicate this event. We’re gonna make it a life celebration for my father, who just passed away today,” the singer-songwriter said in the video.
He then asked for a few moments of silence and expressed his love for his father, “We’re gonna be strong.” Jay R also dedicated his song to him.

In the caption, he wrote, “My dad Blessed me with life and music. We dedicated the Homeworkz Exclusive Listening Party Hollywood to him. I will continue his legacy and he will always live in our hearts.”
The R&B icon didn’t mention any details about his father’s death. Meanwhile, his wife, Mica Javier, also penned a touching tribute for her father-in-law.

“Not everyone gets to meet someone born in 1931 but I’m lucky & grateful I got to know you and spend time with you Daddy Jun. You were a treasure—I will always remember your strength (ang tatag niyo po), tenacity and cool calm presence, especially the sound of you playing classical piano for hours on end,” she wrote.

Mica reminisced about her moments with him and expressed her gratitude, “Thank you for accepting and loving me as your own. You’re in great company now, please say hi to my mama & tito danny for me. Love you po!! Godspeed.” [sic].
