After staying discreet with her rumored relationship with Filipino-British actor Markus Paterson, Janella Salvador admits that she is much more open now to talk about it to the public.
In an interview with ABS-CBN, Janella shared that she has always been happy with the status of her love life but she just didn’t want to broadcast it on social media.
“I just don’t want to share a lot. Basta alam niyo na ‘yun ‘pag nakita niyo kami sa labas (You already know when you see us together in public),” she told the press during a media conference for her new movie The Heiress.
Janella also confessed what made her decide to be more open about her relationship.
“Siguro noong time na ‘yun mas careful ako kasi fresh pa. Pero ngayon marami na rin akong napagdaanan from that moment and marami na ako natutunan. Talagang fully recovered na kaming lahat,” she explained.
(“Maybe at the time, I was more careful because the relationship was still fresh. But now, I have gone through so much from that moment and learned so much too. We have all truly fully recovered.”)
She also expressed joy over the fact that Markus has already met her family, especially her dad Juan Miguel Salvador. She also shared that she has met Markus’ mother, Janine Desiderio, as well.
Truly, Janella can say for now that: “wala akong problema ngayon pagdating [sa love life] (I have no problems right now with my love life).”

It was back in February when Janella and Markus worked together for an episode for Maalaala Mo Kaya. Rumors of the two dating began when they were spotted eating out with family together. They have also traveled to Japan together and celebrated the birthdays of family members together.
