Ready your hearts, KDrama fans — two of your favorite stars, IU and Park Seo Joon, are confirmed to be starring in a new film together!
IU revealed the news during her radio guesting on Jung Eunji’s Gayo Plaza on KBS Cool FM. Titled “Dream,” the new film will be directed by Lee Byung Hun, who was behind the 2019 highest-grossing film in Korea “Extreme Job.”
IU shared that filming will begin in May and that it will be a “joyful, interesting, and heartwarming” movie. We can’t wait to watch it!
“Dream” will be about a group of inexperienced players trying out for the annual Homeless World Cup event. Park Seo Joon will play the team’s coach who is a professional soccer player on disciplinary probation. Meanwhile, IU will play a broadcasting company PD who shows support for the team while making her own dream to produce a documentary come true.
It is scheduled to premiere in 2021.
