Hands up to the sky, I’ll be your galaxy.

Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga are leading this year’s nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards, with nine nominations each.

Both got seven nominations for their collab “Rain on Me,” including Video and Song of the Year, and Best Collaboration, Pop, Cinematography, Visual Effects, and Choreography.

Separately, Grande was also nominated for Best Collaboration and Music Video From Home for “Stuck With U” with Justin Bieber. Meanwhile, Gaga received nominations for Artist of the Year and Best Quarantine Performance for “Smile” from One World: Together At Home.

Best Music Video From Home and Best Quarantine Performance are two new categories that were added to reflect the quarantine caused by COVID-19.

Billie Eilish and The Weeknd followed with six nominations, while Taylor Swift earned five.

This year’s MTV VMAs will be held on August 30. The ceremony will feature performances from different locations, while still following health and safety measures.
