It’s Official: We’re Going to Have to Say Goodbye to Park Bo-Gum Soon

KDrama star Park Bo-gum is gearing up to leave the showbiz limelight for a long while and it’s time to prepare our goodbyes.

On Wednesday, June 24, officials have announced that the 26-year-old celebrity has been admitted to the Navy military band after passing his performance test and interview. He will be joining as a member specializing in piano.

Park will begin service on August 31 at the Navy Education and Training Command in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province for basic military training before being transferred to the Navy headquarters in Gyeryong. This is to fulfill the mandatory military service of about two years imposed on all able-bodied men in South Korea.

In the meantime, Park has been working hard to give fans tons of things to remember him by, including two upcoming films, “Seo Bok” and “Wonderland,” a drama series “The Moment” set to premiere this September, and a new song produced in collaboration with singer-songwriter Sam Kim to be released in August.
