It’s Milky Way season but since we’re on lockdown, here are ‘blended’ photos to enjoy, for now

A month after the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine has been implemented, you’re probably itching to go outside already. It’s summer but with the current situation, you’ve probably canceled most of your trips.

We need to continue staying home for now since the new coronavirus continues to spread.

It’s quite unfortunate since it’s Milky Way season. It’s high time for photographers. If things were normal, landscape photographers are probably on their way out of the city to take shots of the night sky but we need to keep sheltering at home to help contain the coronavirus.

Still, this doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy beautiful Milky Way shots.

JayR-ness Ceria shared with WhenInManila.com composite shots of UPLB with the impressive Milky Way.

“Since I can’t go to UPLB to shoot this Milky Way season and I miss Elbi so much, here are some composite images of some Elbi landmarks,” Ceria wrote. “Enjoy!”

“I would like to add that these photos are all composite. I used my shots (stars and Milky Way) taken at Atok, Benguet,” he explained.

“While these images are composite, I did get a single exposure shot of the Milky Way over the Carillon Tower,” he added.

“This was taken last June 2019. This was a test shot, and the only shot I took because the UPF is right behind me waiting for me to leave (Haha). I will try to secure a permit next Milky Way season and try to realize the vision of this shot,” he also said.
