In line with the public advisory to wear face masks due to the Coronavirus breakout, a Chinoy (Chinese Filipino) man jokes that he needs to wear his face mask this way to also avoid “discrimination and negative reactions” from people.

The current Corona Virus that reportedly originated from China has people all over the world discriminating against Chinese nationals. In some cases, people have reportedly thrown objects and even spit on Chinese nationals.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the coronavirus as a global public health emergency and the first case in the Philippines has been confirmed last January 30 (two days ago) which has not risen since then (as of writing).
