Janine Gutierrez has been getting both flak and support all over social media after she reacted to the news that Bong Revilla is making his television comeback on GMA Network.
Sharing the tweet by GMA, Janine wrote “Oh God,” which was interpreted by many to have been an expression of dismay.

This did not escape the attention of former talk show host Lolit Solis who chided Janine in a lengthy Instagram post for her “cruel” reaction.
“Siguro gusto ni Janine Gutierrez na mapansin ko siya Salve. The nerve na mag-negative comment siya sa TV comeback ni Bong Revilla (Maybe Janine Gutierrez wants me to notice her. The nerve of her to make a negative comment on Bong Revilla’s TV comeback),” Lolit said. “How can she be so cruel for a second chance to a co actor like Bong without even thinking. If not for the goodness of people she won’t be where she is today.”
Lolit added that Janine should be more respectful and understanding to Bong especially since her grandfather, Christopher De Leon, is friends with him.
On the other hand, many expressed their support and admiration for Janine, including celebrity photographer BJ Pascual, filmmaker Samantha Lee, spoken word artist Juan Miguel Severo, and Sharon Cuneta’s daughter Frankie Pangilinan. Janine’s mom, Lotlot De Leon, even came to her defense and fired back at Lolit with her own lengthy Instagram post.

Despite all this, Janine has stayed silent throughout the whole ordeal.
A few days later, though, she posted a new tweet about being grateful for a successful year and making the resolve to be selective with the projects she says yes to in the future.
“Officially done with work for the year! So happy I get to work with amazing people and so happy that this year I’ve finally learned to say yes to only projects I really like and believe in – no matter what other people say. As it should be with everything else in life,” she wrote.
“PS THANK YOU,” she added in a separate tweet.
