John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo rekindle their sweetness as Finally Found Someone hits the big screen on July 26, 2017!
The film is the comeback project of “AshLloyd”, the love team’s ship name (Ash comes from Sarah’s second name, Asher, and Lloyd from John Lloyd), after the final sequel of A Very Special Love trilogy “It Takes A Man and A Woman” in 2013.
Finally Found Someone dares to bare more mature characters compared to their previous roles. At their press conference held at the Dolphy Theater in Quezon City, the actors spilled that the four years of being apart allowed them to acquire more life experiences making them grow more as artists. This growth has allowed both of them to give more life to the characters especially on scenes where they need to confront their emotions.

Demonstrating Sarah G’s maturity as an actress and a person, she responded with a heart-warming statement when asked how you’d know if you’ve already “finally found someone.” Sarah said, “Ako hindi ko pa din po alam, pero, base sa mga kwento ng kakilala ko, you found the one kapag may peace sa puso mo, may warmth, kapag you’re with that person. Tapos, ‘yong overflowing lang ‘yong love and all you want to do is just to love that person, you don’t expect anything in return, just simply love.”
John Lloyd reveals that he was totally blown away by Sarah’s dramatic flare, being simply more than a comedic actress. John Lloyd said, “Hindi nya alam na maganda siya, hindi niya alam na magaling siya, parang ayaw niyang maniwala, which I think is actually amusing. ‘Di ba? Parang it adds more beauty to her personality.”
Sarah Geronimo’s reaction to John Lloyd’s amusement at her acting prowess was, “Thank you… Ayan naman sya sa buhay ko e, ‘yan ang trabaho niya, i-appreciate lang ako, ganern!”
The blockbuster royalties’ amazing onscreen chemistry stirred the hopes of the love team’s fans wishing they would be real life couples. When John Lloyd Cruz was asked during the press conference if Sarah Geronimo was his “the one that got away”, the actor’s response was: “Di ako umabot sa point na nasabi ko ‘yon, hindi… Or siguro, ayoko sabihin… (laughs…) Hindi pa…hindi pa. Hindi ko pa masasabi.”
