After My Chemical Romance dropped their big reunion concert announcement, everybody started hoping and praying that a world tour would be next on their agenda.
Surprise, surprise: it is, and they’re coming to Asia!!! The question now is: are they coming to Manila to perform their iconic hits, like “Helena” and “Welcome to the Black Parade”?
A tour schedule spanning March 20 to October 11, 2020 has been released, so let’s analyze if they have time to visit the Philippines.
The tour begins at the Download Festival in Melbourne, Australia, followed by a performance in Sydney and Auckland, New Zealand. The band then moves to Asia but curiously, their only stops are two concerts in Japan. They will perform in Osaka on March 28 and another leg of the Download Festival in Tokyo the following day. After that, their next performance is on June 18 at the Stadium MK in the United Kingdom.
That means there’s a two month gap between their concerts in Japan and the UK. This means there’s a possibility that they will announce more Asia dates at that time. After all, other musicians announce tour dates gradually and not drop the entire schedule at once. Of course, this is just speculation and it’s possible the band will take that time to rest or do something else. We can still hope that there will be additional concerts and one stop is in Manila!
