With the ongoing issue about the ABS-CBN Network shutdown by the National Telecommunications Commission, rumors are starting to spread about certain Kapamilya stars making the move to their rival network, GMA. Among those rumored to be transferring is Julia Montes, who had just got back this year from her long showbiz hiatus.
The question is: is it true?
In an interview with Inquirer Bandera, Julia’s handler Mac Merla clarified that neither he nor Julia has any idea about the alleged negotiations between her talent management Cornerstone Entertainment and GMA.
“Buti pa sila alam nila. Ako, kausap ko lang si Julia kani-kanina lang wala kaming kaalam-alam,” he said. “Wala rin kaming napag-uusapan tungkol sa paglipat ni Julia.”
[“Good for them that they know. As for me, I just spoke with Julia a short while ago and we have no clue. We also have not talked about Julia’s alleged transfer.”]
With regards to her television soap, “24/7,” it’s yet to be decided if taping will continue to be put on hold indefinitely or if the show has already been shelved entirely. Guess we’ll have to keep waiting for future updates!
