Hold On, is an ‘Inuyasha’ Sequel In the Works?

Is beloved anime Inuyasha making a comeback?!

It seems like the iconic series is getting a sequel after a poster of a new project, titled Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogi Soushi, was revealed on social media with Inuyasha and his brother Sesshomaru standing in the background.

As translated by Siliconera, the poster reads: “Sesshomaru has a daughter. Time passed since the stories of Inuyasha, now the daughters of the brothers will open the door to a new legend.”

Yup, we’re freaking out.

It is unknown whether this new project will be a manga, an anime, or a full-length film, but we’re certain that there will be an official announcement in the future. After all, the original creators of the series are reportedly helming this sequel!

Check out the new character designs below:

Inuyasha was a popular series that captured the hearts of many fans over the years. The manga ran from 1996 to 2008 while the anime ran from 2000-2004 and ended with a final season from 2009-2010. And though we saw the conclusion to Inuyasha’s story, it seems there is still more to tell.
