Hold On, is an ‘Inuyasha’ Sequel In the Works?

Is beloved anime Inuyasha making a comeback?!

It seems like the iconic series is getting a sequel after a poster of a new project, titled Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogi Soushi, was revealed on social media with Inuyasha and his brother Sesshomaru standing in the background.

As translated by Siliconera, the poster reads: “Sesshomaru has a daughter. Time passed since the stories of Inuyasha, now the daughters of the brothers will open the door to a new legend.”

Yup, we’re freaking out.

It is unknown whether this new project will be a manga, an anime, or a full-length film, but we’re certain that there will be an official announcement in the future. After all, the original creators of the series are reportedly helming this sequel!

Inuyasha was a popular series that captured the hearts of many fans over the years. The manga ran from 1996 to 2008 while the anime ran from 2000-2004 and ended with a final season from 2009-2010. And though we saw the conclusion to Inuyasha’s story, it seems there is still more to tell.
