Asia’s Got Talent (AGT) finalist Gerphil Flores who is known for being an amazing classical singer just graduated Cum Laude from UP Diliman. An additional cherry on top of this spectacular academic performance is that she finished two degrees, receiving a diploma in Creative Performing Arts at Bachelor’s Degree in Music.
Gerphil expressed her gratitude for this achievement on her Instagram account.
She said:
Lord, thank you! I can finally harvest what I’ve planted since 2010. In a span of 6 years, I am overjoyed to announce that I finished two degrees (Diploma in Creative Performing Musical Arts & Bachelor of Music- Cum Laude) at The College of Music, University of the Philippines Diliman.
Although it wasn’t always a smooth ride, I am truly blessed with all the experiences I had as an undergraduate student including my Asia’s Got Talent stint as I not only represented my country but also my beloved university.
Of course, none of these beautiful experiences would have happened without the undying love and support of my family, mentors and friends. Mom, thank you for everything. People often say you’re too protective because they always see you with me and sometimes, they see your “mataray” side but what they don’t know is that you are just protecting me.
Dad, selbst wenn du in Hamburg bist, bin ich für die Inspiration noch dankbar.
To my mentors, thank you for unselfishly sharing your knowledge in music and for honing my craft.
This triumph is not mine but yours!
