IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress

Meridian International College’s theater organization, MINTeatro, will be bringing the stage online with their first online live show: “IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress. The said live show will be showcasing a collection of short plays that are divided into three blocks with its own corresponding theme. 


IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress will be MINTeatro’s way of coping with theaters shut down due to the pandemic. This show will be the students’ opportunity to be in the spotlight again while being safe at home. The show also aims to promote theater, with the intention that we can theater can still be alive amidst this challenging times.


IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress will be showcasing plays from this year and last year’s Virgin Labfest’s Fellowship Program and will be directed by the MINT students, MINT Alumna, and Nelsito Gomez, our head director. The show consists of a production filled with MINT students and alumna together with MINTeatro Adviser, TJ Ramos. 


Here are the plays that we will perform in our live show from the 2020 VLF Fellowship Program:

  5. For the Record by Alicia Anne de Ocampo, directed by Sandra Quintela
  6. Ang Bata sa Drum by Dominique La Victoria, directed by Kyanna Villaruel
  7. Teacher ka Lang/Pa Naman by Ansherina May D. Jazul, directed by Jamie Garcia
  8. Kumpisal by Kristine Angel Cerva, directed by John Errol Bulabog
  9. Honor Code by Bernice Decara, directed by Rafael Jimenez

IN PROGRESS: Works IN Progress FOR Progress is scheduled on November 4-6, 2020 at 7 PM, on November 7, 2020 at 3 PM and 7 PM, and on November 8, 2020 at 7 PM. The show will be streamed live through MINTeatro’s Facebook page.
