Pia’s winning answer: “I am confidently beautiful with a heart,” really demonstrated well when she visited the wounded soldiers, as well as, other patients at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Hospital yesterday.
Pia shook hands with one of the wounded soldiers confined at the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Center at V. Luna in Quezon City.
According to the Armed Forces of the Philippines Facebook page, Pia was accompanied by Lt. Gen. Edgar Fallorina, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Colonel Joseph M Acosta MC (MNSA), Commander of AFP Medical Center.
She also distributed souvenir bags to the patients.
As noted as well in the Philippine Star report, the Filipino-German beauty queen expressed her heartfelt gratitude for defending our country and wished them a speedy recovery.
Furthermore, Lt. Gen. Edgar Fallorina said to Philippine Star that Pia’s visit boosted the morale of the patients, as it was the first time a Filipina Miss Universe noticed a soldier’s worth.
The Miss Universe 2015 gave a fist bump with Sebastian Balingasa, a patient at the AFP Medical Center.
Truly, Pia Wurtzbach is a beautiful person, inside and out.
