It’s great to be a K-Drama fan in the Philippines. For years now, many of our favorite K-Drama stars have come to the Philippines for fan meets. In fact, despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, they are continuing to give us something to look forward to.
Yesterday, Bench founder Ben Chan posted yet another cryptic video on Instagram with the words, “Your crush, landing soon.” Captain Ri, is that you?

While many people made jokes that this might not be pertaining to Hyun Bin, the lead actor in the hit K-Drama series ‘Crash Landing on You’, we knew in our hearts of hearts that it had to be. After all, Bench is known to take on big names as their endorsers and even to fly in their endorsers to meet their fans in the Philippines.
Well, in an interview with People Asia, Ben Chan has officially revealed that they do, in fact, plan on bringing Hyun Bin to Manila “once it’s safe for everyone to travel” – either late this year or early next year. While he says that only God can tell, he promises that it will definitely happen.
If you also happen to be a fan of Ji Chang-wook, then you will be happy to hear that Bench also plans to fly him in around the same time as Hyun Bin. As I said: it’s great to be a K-Drama fan in the Philippines. :p
