How to Avail of Smart’s Free Mobile Internet Promo on Prepaid?
A few days back, Smart and PLDT chairman Manny V. Pangilinan tweeted about a big announcement on Friday. Many speculations arose based from these tweet such as him entering politics, hosting the future FIBA World Championship, buying of other large corporations like GMA 7 or PAL, or him getting married.
Today, all speculations have ended.
MVP at the Smart Communications presscon held today at Makati Shangri-La.
MVP announced the free mobile Internet service for all Smart, Talk ‘N Text, and Sun Cellular prepaid subscribers.
To avail this promo:
1. Prepaid subscriber should send the keyword “FREE” to 9999. Registration must be done each day and it is free of charge. They will receive an SMS notification to confirm successful registration.
2. Prepaid subscriber should have at least one peso of airtime balance or are subscribed to any load bucket promo.
Other important info:
1. Free data volume package is up to 30MB per day. Once the subscriber exceeds the 30MB limit, a paywall will notify them where they can choose to proceed but with corresponding data charges.
2. Free mobile data is NOT applicable to peer-to-peer uploads and downloads, videos, VOIP, and messaging.
3. The promo will run starting today until November 30, 2014.
