When in Manila, everybody loves infographics. Weโve already featured a special one a few days ago, and here we are, making people say โI didnโt know thatโ in their heads again. This time, however, we have scoured the vast Intertubes to find and carefully select a handful of fun facts about the multi-billion dollar conglomerate Sony Corporation. It took me about fifteen hoursย a long time slaving away in front of a computer ย to do this, and I’m pretty proud of the result:
Kind of a lengthy one, isn’t it?
(Since the Sony Corporation’s rich history cannot possibly fit in a single infographic, I have chosen only a few tidbits about the company.ย I hope you guys enjoyed reading it as much as I did researching and designing it.)
So what do you think? What are some of the fun Sony facts that you know? Share it with us in the comments!
When in Manila,ย it’s always nice to consider the top names in the industry, especially when it comes to quality electronics, don’t you agree?

How Sony Changes the World: An Infographic
Just found out that the PS3 didn’t outsell PS2 in terms of sales when all I thought every console they released was superseded by the next. Interesting to note too that Sony’s presence is more felt in Europe than in USA. It just makes sense since USA nowadays feel Samsung more with the innovation and broad range of devices and services they have. Hope Sony will be more aggressive and innovative in the future especially now that 2020 is just on the horizon and in their plan to reinvent the watch, or should I say a wearable wrist computer.
Hi Jay, Hiromi Kiriki’s concept- the Sony Nextep- is still very much a concept. We have yet to know if Sony will indeed be able to release a product like it. I appreciate your input though! PS2 did SO well!!! I wonder if Sony will be able to do something better in a few years- with the PS4 perhaps?
I’m using sony xperia go right now and i also used sony Ericson wallman phones before. I love using sony products because of there high end technology and nice image quality. Very well said Ms. Ethel. I love your info graphic! Keep it up = )

I must agree, Sony is one of the biggest tycoons in the electronics industry. I’m a Sony/Ericsson user ever since i started using cellular phone and i love it. by the way great art for the infographic.
Hey that’s cool of you to be Sony’s loyal customer! Their products are nice, too. I had a pink Sony Ericsson phone a few years back and it’s one of the most feature-rich phones I’ve ever had!
