How I Lost Weight Without Starving Myself

CHANGING ATTITUDE

  • Set your mind that you will succeed.

Do not ever think that you can’t do this. Stop making excuses that you will just accept your current body because it’s hard to lose weight. From the start, know and feel that you will succeed.

  • Don’t think dieting and exercising are punishments.

Enjoy it and do not think that your life is ending just because you’re on a diet. Your life is actually just starting. Dieting and exercising changed my life!

  • Eat until you’re no longer hungry, not until you’re full.

I’m the kind of person who won’t stop eating until I can no longer breathe. That’s gluttony, folks. Stop eating as soon as you feel satisfied, not if you’re already full.

  • It’s okay to cheat every once in a while.

I know a lot of people who “accidentally” eat a pizza while on a diet. They think that because they didn’t control themselves this time, that means they already failed. No. It’s just a hiccup and you can still get back on track. Stop thinking of this as an excuse.

I know. I looked so disgusting when I was in Europe. The time in my life when I should be at my most presentable but look at me, I looked so losyang! Anyway, this was the time I was dying in Prague because my feet were aching and we’ve been walking for 16 hours! Sige, explain pa. LOL!

I lost 5kg in this program. Doesn’t seem like a big deal but 50 kg has always been my weight for like, ever! It’s my default weight and proper dieting, exercise, and change in attitude helped me get that back. However, the following improvements in my health would the reason I’m bowing down to a healthy lifestyle.

  • I always feel energetic all throughout the day
  • No more shortness of breath
  • My migraines have disappeared
  • Less menstrual cramps (I’ve blogged here how bad my period is every month)
  • I don’t feel bloated anymore
  • My skin cleared up without changing my skin care routine

Overall, it was an amazing experience trying out a new workout, diet, and attitude.
