Hope in CharitIE

OUTREACH

In the spirit of the season, the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers – Operations Research of the Philippines (PIIE – ORSP) Adamson University Chapter will be conducting its Outreach Activity.

“Hope in CharitIE” is an event that aims to give the gift of giving to the residents of Bahay Aruga, a home for children with cancer. The activity seeks to bring happiness in its simplest to these lovely kids and to encourage them to live a life filled with Hope and Faith.

In line with this, the PIIE-ORSP Adamson University Chapter is encouraging their fellow klasmeyts to embrace the season of good tidings and the Vincentian spirit of charity, through aiding us in collecting simple gifts for these children.

The program will be held in Bahay Aruga. The first part of the program will be covered with a small encouragement talk with the kids followed by an art class that will center on the children’s ambitions. The second part will be a ‘Show and Tell’ where the kids will share their purpose/reasons for their ambition. After that, the kids will pin their artworks on the “Wall of Hope” that will be donated to Bahay Aruga as a symbol or a reminder of their plan that will keep them going so that in the end, it will serve happiness in their lives, as well as their families. The event is about giving hope to the kids while letting them enjoy the pleasure of being a child despite their situation.

The organization is opening its doors for any donation, though, as per the institution’s request that these gifts be in the form of school supplies for the children’s sake.
