The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) Southeast Asia Office announced today the reappointment of Perceptions, Inc. as its PR agency in the Philippines for the next two years.
This is the third time that HKTB has awarded the contract to Perceptions since 2017. HKTB cited that the agency’s strong media relations, fresh perspective on PR, and deep understanding of the Filipino market are factors in this long-standing partnership. “We have found an established, years-long partner in Perceptions who have helped us reach significant milestones in promoting Hong Kong to Filipinos,” said Raymond Chan, Regional Director of Southeast Asia at HKTB.
With the Philippines being Hong Kong’s top source market, HKTB has been working for the past year towards driving even more Filipino tourists to visit the bustling city, especially now that travel restrictions have relaxed. They recently launched the “Hello Hong Kong” campaign, to welcome visitors back to Hong Kong through a ticket giveaway with its Hong Kong based airlines and the distribution of Hong Kong Goodies. HKTB also took the opportunity to showcase a revitalized side of the city through improvements and renovations to well-known Hong Kong destinations and is delighted to welcome Filipino travelers back this 2023.
“In the last three years, Hong Kong has seen a slew of new tourism developments, including the establishment of the West Kowloon Cultural District which showcases M+ and the Hong Kong Palace Museum, among others. Refreshed experiences for dining, shopping, and culture are also at the forefront of this campaign, encouraging travelers to rediscover Asia’s World City. We are excited to work together with Perceptions to bring these new experiences to Filipinos,” Raymond Chan added.
Perceptions will continue to provide support in effectively bringing Hong Kong closer to the public consciousness, as well as building good relationships with media outlets that will eventually lead to a wider reach for the stories Hong Kong has to tell.
