Historyland: Witness Philippine History Come to Life

Experience history on another level as Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar opens Historyland, an immersive and interactive tour by RED Entertainment that will take you back in time, allowing you to watch stories and events unfold right before your very eyes.

Walk around Las Casas Filipinas and admire its cultural beauty while visiting stations that represent important events from Philippine history. At each station, actors reenact bits and pieces of history in vivid detail.

Their believable and intense acting will surely leave you in awe. After all, the cast consists of professional theater actors who have already been part of the ensemble of several shows and productions in the past.

Historyland is composed of five stations in total:

The Battle of Mactan

Witness the arrival of Ferdinand Magellan at a very fitting backdrop of the ocean, and watch the exciting battle between the Spaniards and the people of Lapu-Lapu.

Historyland 1

The station is placed right across of the shore, imitating what their battle on the island would have looked like – a stunning start, if you ask me!

The Execution of Jose Rizal

In this scene, you’ll get to hear one of Jose Rizal’s parting words before his execution.

Historyland 7

I felt mixed emotions of pride and heartbreak while listening to our national hero’s final thoughts. This solemn yet defining moment will remind you of his contribution to the freedom we enjoy today.

The Cry of Pugad Lawin

Historyland 2

The Cry of Pugad Lawin is famous for tearing cedula. At this station, you won’t only feel empowered to fight for our country, but you’ll also get to be a part of it right then and there. How? I think you can figure that out!

The Creation of the Philippine Flag

Another important event of Philippine history is the creation of the Philippine flag.

Historyland 3

Learn from the weavers as they explain what our flag embodies. Each part of it tells stories about our ancestors, and will give you a better understanding of how and why it all started.

The Fight for Philippine Independence

For the last scene, stand with pride as our country’s first President raises our banners high and we proclaim our independence by singing the national anthem as if it were the very first time.

Historyland 4

Hearing everyone sing the national anthem will send shivers down your spine as you relive the moment when we became truly free.

After the tour, you can witness a parade as the cast walks through Las Casas Filipinas. You will then get to meet and greet the iconic characters and learn a thing or two about the Philippines from them. (Don’t be scared of Sisa running frantically looking for Basilio!)

Historyland will be open for the whole month of August at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar.
