If you are on your way to Tagaytay, you would pack a hearty appetite, When In Manila. Usually, we would opt to stop over in a gas station along SLEX or the stretch of amazing finds in Laguna but there’s a new place to stop over. One that would make you miss your grandmother’s cooking and one to perfectly sink in the chill vibe of the South, Rekados Tagaytay.
It’s not difficult to spot along Calamba road leading up to Tagaytay. The vast parking area welcomes you to have a drive by with your family or friends. It’s also a perfect place to have a date.
With lush greens everywhere and a place to stroll before your coffee or meal, Rekados has a romantic ambiance to it. It’s decorated with lights (assumingly beautiful at night as I went in for lunch) It’s decked out with wooden fixtures reminiscent of our grandmother’s Spanish-Filipino facades.
Rekados brings new meaning to Spanish-Filipino cuisine. The food makes traditional cuisine and adds a contemporary touch to it. It all came from the team of two siblings that have made it to the family-oriented restaurant that it is. The atmosphere greets guests with a rustic style added some history that it brings with it. Complimented by the food and warm hospitality, Rekados is one stop that you would not want to miss.Decorated with books and fixtures, things that you would stumble upon your old house that would make you nostalgic about the good old days.

It was a nice place to have lunch as sunshine was streaming through their glass walls. Their menu was packed with Spanish-Filipino dishes and drinks. They also have Alamid coffee.
