If you’re a fan of DC Comics and Shazam!, we have great news: DC has already released the first look at the superhero, which Entertainment Weekly published.
Shazam! follows the adventures of young Billy Batson, who becomes an adult superhero by shouting the name Shazam (an acronym for the powers of “the gods” Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury). His powers were given by an ancient sorcerer who fights evil and is on the lookout for a successor.
Batson will be portrayed by Angel Asher while the grownup superhero will be portrayed by Zachary Levi.
The 3,000 year old sorcerer will be played by Djimon Hounsou, who also plays the Kree mercenary Korath the Pursuer in Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Captain Marvel.
Shazam! has already finished filming, but the film is expected to be released on April 5, 2019.
