Yeng Constantino couldn’t hold back her happiness after finding out that she won Best Supporting Actress for her Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 movie Write About Love.
Yeng was at the airport when she learned about her award on Twitter and her reaction was captured on camera, as seen in her Instagram post.
“Maraming salamat po sa bumubuo ng #MMFF2019 at sa lahat po ng sumuporta sa pelikula namin ‘Write About Love’. Karangalan po ang makapasok sa #MMFF at makapaghandog ng pelikula sainyo (Thank you so much to the people behind #MMFF2019 and to everyone who supported our film ‘Write About Love.’ It’s an honor to have entered the #MMFF and present you with this film),” she wrote on the caption.
“Maraming maraming salamat po! pauwi na po ng Manila na puno [ng] galak ang puso! Muli maraming salamat po! (Thank you so much! I am flying home to Manila with my heart filled with joy! Again, thank you so much!)”

Yeng won for her role as a girl in an imagined love story that the two lead characters of Write About Love were writing. She bested Meryll Soriano (Culion) and Krystal Brimner (Sunod).
This is the first acting award she ever received in her career.
When asked jokingly if it was a sign that she should change careers from being a musician to an actress, Yeng said: “‘Wag naman ganoon! Kakanta parin tayo! (Don’t say that! I’m still going to sing!)”
