Here’s What’s Happening to ‘Terrace House’ Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic

Amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that continues to affect the world, fans of beloved Japanese reality television show, Terrace House, must be wondering what this might entail for the members of the house of the ongoing season “Tokyo 2019-2020.”

On Monday, April 13, the show made an official announcement on its Twitter account.

“We are suspending the current production of Terrace House Tokyo 2019-2020, giving the safety and health of cast and staff top priority,” they revealed.

It is unknown when the season will resume. It currently has 36 episodes uploaded on Netflix.

Tokyo is currently the epicenter of Japan’s outbreak with over 2,000 confirmed cases. As of Sunday, April 12, there are 7,292 cases in the country.

Terrace House is much-loved by fans all around the world for being an unscripted reality show featuring three men and women living under the same roof with the hope of finding romance with the other members.
