If the latest deadline set for the extended enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) won’t change anymore, then the lockdown in Metro Manila will be lifted after May 15.
Gradually, we can expect people to start going outside to procure essential items or to work. Therefore, it is important to know what the train schedules in the metro will be post-lockdown.
“Upon resumption of operations, all rail lines will observe the March 14, 2020 Department of Transportation (DOTr) guidelines on Community Quarantine, as well as additional health and safety measures pursuant to IATF and DOH guidelines,” DOTr wrote on Saturday on Facebook.
Following DOTr’s guidelines, passengers going inside stations and trains will be closely monitored. Moreover, train employees are required to wear face masks and use thermal scanners. Passengers exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to enter the premises and ride the train.
