Here’s Everything We Know So Far About American Horror Story Season 7

AHS Cult

American Horror Story closed its sixth season last year, which detailed the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke Colony in the US. Now, series creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the seventh season will be about a cult, and is called, well… Cult.

He announced the title in a tweet and proceeded to answer some fan questions.

Some of the things he revealed is that it will be set in Michigan, it will have 11 episodes, and that Evan Peters (as Kai in his heaviest role yet), Frances Conroy, Mare Winningham, and Sarah Paulson (as Ally) will return. Reports have said that Girls creator Lena Dunham is joining the cast.

Previously, Murphy revealed that the seventh season will revolve around the US presidential elections. It looks like it’s sticking with the theme, as Murphy posted a photo of the title on Instagram superimposed on the American flag.

The series also released some teasers, which show a cult of clowns. As always, it’s terrifying. The second video was unveiled via hologram at the San Diego Comicon.

American Horror Story is an anthology, which means a new season sees the same cast in new roles. Season 1 was about a haunted house, followed by a mental hospital, a witches’ coven, a freakshow, then a haunted hotel.

AHS: Cult will be released on September 5.
