Henry Cavill Expresses Interest in Playing James Bond

Through the decades, Henry Cavill has taken on some very iconic roles in his acting career, including Superman, Geralt of Rivia, and most recently, Sherlock Holmes. Well, it doesn’t look like he wants to stop there. With the ongoing search for a new James Bond to replace Daniel Craig, Henry has spoken up about wanting to play the role.

In a recent GQ interview, Henry talked about the time when he auditioned for – and almost got! – the role of James Bond. Apparently, there is no bad blood about not getting the role. In fact, he even told GQ that he would still be interested in playing James Bond if he would be given the chance to.

“If Barbara and Mike [the producers] were interested in that, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity,” Henry beams. “At this stage, it’s all up in the air. We’ll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting.”

Personally, I think he would make for a great 007. What do you think?

Daniel Craig’s last James Bond movie, ‘No Time to Die’ has been pushed back multiple times due to COVID-19, but is set to hit theaters in November 2020.
