Help local farmers by getting a subscription of fruits and vegetables

The pandemic has taken quite a toll on a lot of us. Small businesses are struggling to stay afloat, and many people risk losing or have already lost their jobs. Beyond the corporate scene, our local farmers have also been affected. Not only are they left with an oversupply of fruits and vegetables with no means to get them across, but they also aren’t earning enough to survive.

This is why Plants vs. COVID was established. The objective is to bridge the gap between farmers and the very people who are looking for fresh produce by offering a weekly vegetable bundle subscription service.

Plants vs. COVID guarantees the quality of their fresh produce. Anything that doesn’t make the cut isn’t sent out. What sets them apart from other local vendors and suppliers is that they offer fruit and vegetable bundles – and at a weekly subscription at that!

My Mixed Veggies and Fruit Bundle

I was able to secure a Mixed Veggies and Fruits Bundle from Plants vs. COVID myself and I was really happy with what I got. Check it out:

The full spread. While the bundle normally comes with watermelon, mine was replaced with banana saba because the quality of their watermelon that day wasn’t up to their standards. I had actually been craving for turon, so this really came in handy.

Cherry tomatoes and marbled potatoes as sides for my family’s lunch and dinner.

Check out these Baguio beans and baby corn. So fresh!
