Heart Evangelista is finally letting fans hear a song she has kept secret for over a decade and, by the sound of the snippet she shared on Instagram, it’s a tune we won’t be able to stop singing in our heads!
Titled “Treasure Chest,” the song was something she wrote and recorded 15 years ago that she only recently discovered again. It seems to be a love song, with the lyrics going: “Feels like the first time / Seems like the last / Here in the nighttime / Lost in one long caress / When I feel you beside me / And your eyes are locked into mine, I fly / When you say that you love me / You’re driving me out of my mind.”
“Finally found the courage to share this with all of you,” Heart said in the caption of her post. “Made this 15 years ago and came across it again while I was going through my files during the lockdown. So happy to announce that my single will be coming out real soon.”
“It’s been such a blast working on this and turning one of my dreams into reality! Hope you enjoy this little teaser!” she added.
She also shared with GMA News Online that she had written this song when she was 21 years old and didn’t really know what to do with her life.
“I just knew that I was extremely happy and free and I’m seeing the world slowly,” she told them. “I remember recording that song because I really had good people around me during the time.”
