Fur parents would understand the stress and panic of having to chase after your pet on a street full of passing cars. It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, what you’re doing, or what you’re holding—you’ll drop everything just to run after your pet and bring them to safety.

Take for example Heart Evangelista who didn’t care if she was wearing luxury heels or had just gotten her hair done. The moment her dog Che Che jumped out of her car door to run across the street, she went out of her way to stop cars and trucks to save her.
“Nakakakloka hinabol namin si Che Che sa daan! Muntik ako Lumusot ako sa truck!” Heart shared in one of her series of tweets on Wednesday, January 13.
“To the man who opened his car door to stop cheche thank YOU!” she continued. “Sana wala naka video dahil mukha [akong] tanga – naka kulot at high heels making pigil the trucks and cars and running after cheche. What an afternoon.”
She also thanked the guards, her driver, and everyone she was with for helping her get her dog back. “What a scene. Thank you lord ok lahat.”
She also tweeted about how she hopes her husband, Chiz Escudero, doesn’t find out about what happened on Twitter. “Great I forgot na sa Twitter din pala Asawa ko,” she said. “Mapapagalitan ako nito.”

Heart’s other dog Panda, who was also in the car with them, also narrated the ruckus that ensued in her perspective.
“Eto na ang pinaka epic na kwento,” Panda began. “Una sa lahat nakakahiya ka cheche! May balak ka na pala dito sa great escape mo! Pag Bukas ba naman [ng] pinto tumakbo ka sa daan! Puro car at ang pinili mo talaga lusutan ang ilalim ng truck!!! Kawawa si mum kakakulot lang ng hair super high heels hinabol ka parang action star!! Pinigil ang truck sa harap at mga car mahabol ka Lang! Buti nalang nakahabol ang driver at guard! Nakakaloka and eksena kanina Ortigas ave corner santolan!”
We’re just happy that Che Che is safe!
