Heart Evangelista couldn’t help but react after a few netizens commented on one of her posts telling her to have a baby — a topic that is still quite sore for the 35-year-old actress.
“You need a baby in your life,” one of the comments said. Agreeing with the statement, another netizen added, “You need a bonus [baby] then. Badly.”
Heart thanked them both for their concern but explained that their comments were “inappropriate.”
“I’m too blessed my love,” she said in response. “Too shy to ask more from God… if he gives me one – a big thank you. Whatever it is dear thank you for your concern but this bitter sweet comment of yours is inappropriate.”
It was in 2018 when Heart revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage barely a month after she shared the joyful news that she was expecting her first child with husband Chiz Escudero. She was even going to have twins originally but had already lost one embryo due to it being “smaller and behind in terms of development.”
Coming to Heart’s defense, another fan didn’t mince words when they chided the two netizens for being insensitive to Heart’s traumatic experience. “[You] never understand the feeling of miscarriage don’t [you]? I’ve got mine twice and it feels like hell. And now I am happy with my husband. I’m too blessed to have him. And let God do the rest.”
Heart likewise added: “Having a miscarriage is the most traumatizing feeling. I carried my twins 4 months after because my doctor wanted me to naturally go through the process. It was the most horrible feeling thinking maybe God can bring them back to me…or me thinking am I not a good person for this to happen.”
“Having babies is for sure a blessing or just actually being able to feel that you can love someone even if you haven’t met them,” she shared. “Now me trying after a year or so is my choice but me not having a baby as of the moment is God’s choice and I wouldn’t want to question that.”
She then expressed her pain for having received such a comment on her post and assured them that she is content with what she currently has.
“Coming to my IG and posting a comment on a pic that has nothing to do with that is hurtful. To even ask or shove it down my throat is unthinkable or doesn’t say much about you as a woman,” she lamented. “Baby or not I am very happy with my life. I have a loving family, a HOME. A solid relationship with God.”
